Sunday Summary 65

Firstly we want to thank everyone who has applied to join Team WAMK so far.  We have been astounded by the number of applications we have received and are slowly working our way through them wondering how the hell we are going to choose a new member!!  So many amazing applications and so many incredibly inspiring stories.  We want each and everyone of our applicants to guest post for us, so many incredible stories that need to be shared.  We haven't put a deadline on the applications yet so if you were thinking of applying there is still time.  You'll find all the details in this post.

It's Gemma's birthday today so make sure you wish her a happy birthday :)

Sarah - I started Slim-fast this week.  The first few days were hell as I had over indulged on holiday so the reduction of calories lead to one grumpy Sarah.  The shakes and bars are pretty tasty and after trying all of the snack bars I would defo buy these even if I wasn't following the plan.  95 calories and no artificial taste to them, heaven.  By midweek I had lost 2.5lbs but after yesterdays wedding I am ending the week at -2lbs.  I had hoped for more but the canapes were too hard to resist!

Gemma - I lost 1/2 lb at weigh in this week, yay! I'm sure that will all go back on this week after my birthday celebrations. I've indulged all week and gone for lots of meals out and afternoon tea but I tried to limit the damage by walking as much as I could and trying to make good food choices.
I'm feeling very inspired by our new members on the blog and I'm ready to get back into strict dieting. Lauren started at the same weight as me and has nearly reached her goal. If Lauren can do it while leading a busy student lifestyle I don't have any excuses!

Lauren - This week marks my first week being properly back on track since I finished my exams in mid-May. I've really enjoyed being back in control and exercising regularly and its already showing on the scales - a sneaky peek yesterday showed I was around 3lbs down. My official weigh-in isn't until tomorrow morning so you'll have to wait another week to find out how I got on! I also completed Week 3 of C25K without too much trauma, and I'm actually looking forward to starting Week 4 tomorrow - although I'm sure I'll regret saying that when I'm actually out running!

How did you get on this week?

  1. Good luck with c25k Lauren! Will you be entering any races? I find entering a race a great motivator - if I don't train then I'm always scared I won't manage to cross the finishing line.

    1. I've been thinking about that actually! I'm going to treat myself to some new trainers when I finish the program and will think about entering a race as well. At the moment I'm just taking it one week at a time! xxx
